Setting Your Personal Code
Remove the rectangular covers from the transmitter and receiver. Locate the code switches on the receiver and the transmitter. The coding switches are located in the bottom half of the transmitter. Use a pen or paper clip to change the switches to any other code you desire by moving each of the ten switches to either the “ON” or “OFF” position. Any combination of switches can be selected. Make sure that the transmitter and receiver have the same switch settings. DO NOT have the switches either all to the “ON position or all to the “OFF” position.
The transmitter is supplied with a metal clip to attach the unit to a sun visor. If you wish to use the clip, slide it into the recess provided on the back of the case until the dimples on the case fit into the small holes in the clip
The transmitter is supplied with a standard 9-volt battery which is installed at the factory. After approximately one year the battery may need to be replaced. Replacement is indicated by less brightness in the indicator light or reduced range of operation. The battery is located under the transmitter cover. To replace the battery, remove the cover and carefully unsnap the battery clip. Snap the new fresh battery in place and replace the cover.
If additional transmitters are desired, you need only to match the code switches on the new unit to the existing code. The unit is then ready to operate.
The radios are required to comply with FCC Rules and Regulations as Part 15 devices. As such they have limited transmitter power and therefore limited range.
A receiver cannot respond to more than one transmitter signal at a time and may be blocked by radio signals that occur on or near their operating frequencies, regardless of code settings.
Changes or modifications in the device may void FCC compliance.
